A little weeed.

A small but intrepid workparty trio made an impression on the islands of weed at the reservoir today. It's not completely gone, but should be no problem if you're using dry flies from the main casting points. Unless you catch something of course, then you'll need to manage them carefully and use fairly strong lines. It's much better that it was, and we have applied barley straw treatment as you'll see, so hopefully the weed will continue to shrink. The fish seemed unperturbed by the work and continued to rise happily, and not always just beyond casting range. Thanks to Keith and our inspiring leader, Nigel.
