Has anyone spotted the club's drone patrolling the river yet?

Yes it really does exist and it does do patrols, though maybe you're not supposed to see it, but perhaps it can see you. It's actually there to spot non-members of course, who have inadvertently wandered along the river and decided to try their luck at fishing.

I don't actually have any pictures of the drone in action just yet, but this was observed doing a bit of patrolling earlier this week.

I can't be certain that this isn't an undercover drone, but whatever, it's clearly very effective, and just one more treat you can see down on the river (thanks Nigel).

Keep a look-out as well for the Golden-Ringed Dragonflies which we're lucky enough to have on our river https://british-dragonflies.org.uk/species/golden-ringed-dragonfly/ . They're Britain's longest dragonfly so they are very big, and will even eat other dragonflies.

So never mind if you can't catch your limit of trout - threre's more to the river than just fishing!

P.S. If you've lost this cap, found on the river, do get in touch, though I can't quite imagine anyone fly-fishing in this.
