Not sure if this is an Indian Summer, but it's a great time to head to the river. The water level is low and probably clearer than it's been all year. If Harpers is too crowded, don't be afraid to walk a bit. I had a particularly good day on Beat 5 recently, wading almost the length of it (without chest waders), and the Chub and Dace and the odd Grayling were very amenable to dry flies; great sport and very peaceful and pleasant.
