Well it looks as if the river level has settled down once more. It seems to be about 27cm fairly steadily now, which is not quite as good as the 30cm it was, but a lot better than the 16cm it dropped down to last week. I'm sure it could use a good fall of rain of course, but then couldn't we all? Hopefully it will not drop down again.
I believe that things have improved a bit at Bockingfold too, though that may be a temporary fix as there is still a problem with the sluice.
At least the temperatures have stopped being quite so oppressive, so we may see some more activity on the river soon.
